On Friday evening, a western
tradition comes alive. Cloggers and Square Dancers fill the intersection
immediately in front of the rattlesnake buying platform. The dancing
usually extends well into the dark.
The cloggers will feature various dancers
of all ages. The spectacle is watching the group moving in unison and
"clogging" together. As their feet come in contact with the concrete
under their feet, one sound is heard. Also, the speed and precision that
is used is a sight to see.
The square dancing follows the cloggers.
The participants come in full garb. The dancers dance several routines
as the caller calls out the routines. Like the cloggers, the execution
of each move is of great precision. There are plenty of swings,
promenades, and do-si-dos to see.
Don't miss an opportunity to see two of
traditional dances.
